OFFICE MEMORANDUM
Subject: The storage of petroleum by persons engaged in the supply of energy under the Gujarat Electricity Industry (Reorganisation and Regulation) Act, 2003, regarding.
1. The undersigned is directed to say that references have been received in the General Administration Department, Government of Gujarat on the manner in which the storage of petroleum by persons engaged in the supply of energy is to be regulated under the Gujarat Electricity Industry (Reorganisation and Regulation) Act, 2003.
2. The matter has been examined. Every person engaged in the supply of energy carrying on the storage of petroleum shall make an application in Form II to the Ombudsman within seven days, accompanied by a fee of ten thousand rupees.
3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the storage of petroleum is undertaken, and the Ombudsman shall dispose of it within seven days of its receipt.
4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this office memorandum may be brought to the notice of the General Administration Department, Government of Gujarat.
