OFFICE MEMORANDUM

Subject: Participation in competitions by athletes under the Goa, Daman and Diu Public Gambling Act, 1976, regarding.

1. The undersigned is directed to say that references have been received in the Revenue and Disaster Management Department, Government of Goa on the manner in which participation in competitions by athletes is to be regulated under the Goa, Daman and Diu Public Gambling Act, 1976.

2. The matter has been examined. Every athlete carrying on participation in competitions shall make an application in Form C to the Government of Goa within thirty days, accompanied by a fee of five hundred rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which participation in competitions is undertaken, and the Government of Goa shall dispose of it within thirty days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this office memorandum may be brought to the notice of the Revenue and Disaster Management Department, Government of Goa.
