STANDING ORDER

To

All Compliance Officers,

Subject: The conduct of a competition by organisers under the Goa, Daman and Diu Public Gambling Act, 1976, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Goa, Daman and Diu Public Gambling Act, 1976 (Goa Act 14 of 1976), the Industries and Commerce Department, Government of Goa hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the conduct of a competition by organisers.

2. The matter has been examined. Every organiser carrying on the conduct of a competition shall make an application in Form H to the Government of Goa within one hundred and twenty days, accompanied by a fee of twenty-five thousand rupees.

3. The Compliance Officer shall ensure that code of conduct is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Government of Goa within one hundred and twenty days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Industries and Commerce Department, Government of Goa.
