OFFICE MEMORANDUM

Subject: The construction of a building in a village by owners of a building in a village under the Uttar Pradesh Panchayat Raj Act, 1947, regarding.

1. The undersigned is directed to say that references have been received in the Industries and Commerce Department, Government of Uttar Pradesh on the manner in which the construction of a building in a village by owners of a building in a village is to be regulated under the Uttar Pradesh Panchayat Raj Act, 1947.

2. The matter has been examined. Every owner of a building in a village carrying on the construction of a building in a village shall make an application in Form 1 to the Gram Panchayat within thirty days, accompanied by a fee of ten rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the construction of a building in a village is undertaken, and the Gram Panchayat shall dispose of it within thirty days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this office memorandum may be brought to the notice of the Industries and Commerce Department, Government of Uttar Pradesh.
