STANDING ORDER

To

All Circle Officers,

Subject: The grazing of cattle on Government waste land by graziers on Government waste land under the West Bengal Land Reforms Act, 1955, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the West Bengal Land Reforms Act, 1955 (West Bengal Act 10 of 1955), the Labour Department, Government of West Bengal hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the grazing of cattle on Government waste land by graziers on Government waste land.

2. The matter has been examined. Every grazier on Government waste land carrying on the grazing of cattle on Government waste land shall make an application in Form 12 to the Revenue Divisional Officer within seven days, accompanied by a fee of ten rupees.

3. The Circle Officer shall ensure that patta is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Revenue Divisional Officer within seven days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Labour Department, Government of West Bengal.
