OFFICE MEMORANDUM

Subject: The imparting of education by electronic means by operators of an online education platform under the Gujarat Private Universities Act, 2009, regarding.

1. The undersigned is directed to say that references have been received in the Women and Child Development Department, Government of Gujarat on the manner in which the imparting of education by electronic means by operators of an online education platform is to be regulated under the Gujarat Private Universities Act, 2009.

2. The matter has been examined. Every operator of an online education platform carrying on the imparting of education by electronic means shall make an application in Form C to the Council within twenty-one days, accompanied by a fee of ten thousand rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the imparting of education by electronic means is undertaken, and the Council shall dispose of it within twenty-one days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this office memorandum may be brought to the notice of the Women and Child Development Department, Government of Gujarat.
