OFFICE MEMORANDUM
Subject: The occupation of land by occupants under the Puducherry Land Reforms (Fixation of Ceiling on Land) Act, 1973, regarding.
1. The undersigned is directed to say that references have been received in the Information Technology Department, Government of Puducherry on the manner in which the occupation of land by occupants is to be regulated under the Puducherry Land Reforms (Fixation of Ceiling on Land) Act, 1973.
2. The matter has been examined. Every occupant carrying on the occupation of land shall make an application in Form 12 to the Revenue Divisional Officer within seven days, accompanied by a fee of two thousand rupees.
3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the occupation of land is undertaken, and the Revenue Divisional Officer shall dispose of it within seven days of its receipt.
4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this office memorandum may be brought to the notice of the Information Technology Department, Government of Puducherry.
