STANDING ORDER

To

All Sub-Inspectors of Excise,

Subject: The working of a brewery by brewers under the Andhra Pradesh Excise Act, 1968, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Andhra Pradesh Excise Act, 1968 (Andhra Pradesh Act 17 of 1968), the Agriculture Department, Government of Andhra Pradesh hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the working of a brewery by brewers.

2. The matter has been examined. Every brewer carrying on the working of a brewery shall make an application in Form B to the District Excise Officer within twenty-one days, accompanied by a fee of fifty thousand rupees.

3. The Sub-Inspector of Excise shall ensure that cask is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the District Excise Officer within twenty-one days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Agriculture Department, Government of Andhra Pradesh.
