OFFICE MEMORANDUM
Subject: The operation of a ropeway by operators of a ropeway under the Kerala Tourism (Conservation and Preservation of Areas) Act, 2005, regarding.
1. The undersigned is directed to say that references have been received in the Tourism Department, Government of Kerala on the manner in which the operation of a ropeway by operators of a ropeway is to be regulated under the Kerala Tourism (Conservation and Preservation of Areas) Act, 2005.
2. The matter has been examined. Every operator of a ropeway carrying on the operation of a ropeway shall make an application in Form VI to the Hotel Classification Committee within forty-five days, accompanied by a fee of fifty rupees.
3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the operation of a ropeway is undertaken, and the Hotel Classification Committee shall dispose of it within forty-five days of its receipt.
4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this office memorandum may be brought to the notice of the Tourism Department, Government of Kerala.
