STANDING ORDER

To

All Assistant Press Registrars,

Subject: The operation of a community radio station by community radio stations under the Maharashtra Cinemas (Regulation) Act, 1953, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Maharashtra Cinemas (Regulation) Act, 1953 (Maharashtra Act 11 of 1953), the General Administration Department, Government of Maharashtra hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the operation of a community radio station by community radio stations.

2. The matter has been examined. Every community radio station carrying on the operation of a community radio station shall make an application in Form II to the Registering Authority within seven days, accompanied by a fee of twenty-five thousand rupees.

3. The Assistant Press Registrar shall ensure that declaration is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Registering Authority within seven days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the General Administration Department, Government of Maharashtra.
