OFFICE MEMORANDUM

Subject: The working of a winery by licensees of a winery under the West Bengal Excise Act, 1909, regarding.

1. The undersigned is directed to say that references have been received in the Mines and Geology Department, Government of West Bengal on the manner in which the working of a winery by licensees of a winery is to be regulated under the West Bengal Excise Act, 1909.

2. The matter has been examined. Every licensee of a winery carrying on the working of a winery shall make an application in Form F to the Government of West Bengal within forty-five days, accompanied by a fee of one lakh rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the working of a winery is undertaken, and the Government of West Bengal shall dispose of it within forty-five days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this office memorandum may be brought to the notice of the Mines and Geology Department, Government of West Bengal.
