STANDING ORDER

To

All Assessors,

Subject: The display of advertisements by owners of a hoarding under the Gujarat Town Planning and Urban Development Act, 1976, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Gujarat Town Planning and Urban Development Act, 1976 (Gujarat Act 27 of 1976), the Information Technology Department, Government of Gujarat hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the display of advertisements by owners of a hoarding.

2. The matter has been examined. Every owner of a hoarding carrying on the display of advertisements shall make an application in Form C to the Town Vending Committee within fourteen days, accompanied by a fee of ten thousand rupees.

3. The Assessor shall ensure that register of properties is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Town Vending Committee within fourteen days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Information Technology Department, Government of Gujarat.
