STANDING ORDER

To

All District Education Officers,

Subject: The supply of mid-day meals by contractors for the mid-day meal under the Andhra Pradesh Education Act, 1982, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Andhra Pradesh Education Act, 1982 (Andhra Pradesh Act 1 of 1982), the Finance Department, Government of Andhra Pradesh hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the supply of mid-day meals by contractors for the mid-day meal.

2. The matter has been examined. Every contractor for the mid-day meal carrying on the supply of mid-day meals shall make an application in Form E to the Director of Education within sixty days, accompanied by a fee of two thousand rupees.

3. The District Education Officer shall ensure that fee receipt is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Director of Education within sixty days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Finance Department, Government of Andhra Pradesh.
