OFFICE MEMORANDUM
Subject: The conversion of agricultural land to non-agricultural use by person converting agricultural lands under the Himachal Pradesh Tenancy and Land Reforms Act, 1974, regarding.
1. The undersigned is directed to say that references have been received in the Revenue and Disaster Management Department, Government of Himachal Pradesh on the manner in which the conversion of agricultural land to non-agricultural use by person converting agricultural lands is to be regulated under the Himachal Pradesh Tenancy and Land Reforms Act, 1974.
2. The matter has been examined. Every person converting agricultural land carrying on the conversion of agricultural land to non-agricultural use shall make an application in Form 3 to the Settlement Officer within seven days, accompanied by a fee of two thousand rupees.
3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the conversion of agricultural land to non-agricultural use is undertaken, and the Settlement Officer shall dispose of it within seven days of its receipt.
4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this office memorandum may be brought to the notice of the Revenue and Disaster Management Department, Government of Himachal Pradesh.
