OFFICE MEMORANDUM

Subject: The sale of stamps by licensed stamp vendors under the Rajasthan Stamp Act, 1999, regarding.

1. The undersigned is directed to say that references have been received in the Industries and Commerce Department, Government of Rajasthan on the manner in which the sale of stamps by licensed stamp vendors is to be regulated under the Rajasthan Stamp Act, 1999.

2. The matter has been examined. Every licensed stamp vendor carrying on the sale of stamps shall make an application in Form B to the State Government within seven days, accompanied by a fee of one thousand rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the sale of stamps is undertaken, and the State Government shall dispose of it within seven days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this office memorandum may be brought to the notice of the Industries and Commerce Department, Government of Rajasthan.
