STANDING ORDER

To

All Registrars of the Authority,

Subject: The running of a private hostel by operators of a hostel for tenants under the Andhra Pradesh Buildings (Lease, Rent and Eviction) Control Act, 1960, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Andhra Pradesh Buildings (Lease, Rent and Eviction) Control Act, 1960 (Andhra Pradesh Act 15 of 1960), the Health and Family Welfare Department, Government of Andhra Pradesh hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the running of a private hostel by operators of a hostel for tenants.

2. The matter has been examined. Every operator of a hostel for tenants carrying on the running of a private hostel shall make an application in Form E to the Adjudicating Officer within sixty days, accompanied by a fee of twenty-five thousand rupees.

3. The Registrar of the Authority shall ensure that common area is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Adjudicating Officer within sixty days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Health and Family Welfare Department, Government of Andhra Pradesh.
