OFFICE MEMORANDUM

Subject: The holding of an inam by inamdars under the Punjab Security of Land Tenures Act, 1953, regarding.

1. The undersigned is directed to say that references have been received in the Revenue and Disaster Management Department, Government of Punjab on the manner in which the holding of an inam by inamdars is to be regulated under the Punjab Security of Land Tenures Act, 1953.

2. The matter has been examined. Every inamdar carrying on the holding of an inam shall make an application in Form 2 to the Board of Revenue within forty-five days, accompanied by a fee of fifty rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the holding of an inam is undertaken, and the Board of Revenue shall dispose of it within forty-five days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this office memorandum may be brought to the notice of the Revenue and Disaster Management Department, Government of Punjab.
