OFFICE MEMORANDUM

Subject: The running of a school by schools under the Andhra Pradesh Devadasis (Prohibition of Dedication) Act, 1988, regarding.

1. The undersigned is directed to say that references have been received in the Commercial Taxes Department, Government of Andhra Pradesh on the manner in which the running of a school by schools is to be regulated under the Andhra Pradesh Devadasis (Prohibition of Dedication) Act, 1988.

2. The matter has been examined. Every school carrying on the running of a school shall make an application in Form VI to the Juvenile Justice Board within fifteen days, accompanied by a fee of two hundred rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the running of a school is undertaken, and the Juvenile Justice Board shall dispose of it within fifteen days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this office memorandum may be brought to the notice of the Commercial Taxes Department, Government of Andhra Pradesh.
