STANDING ORDER

To

All Sub-Inspectors of Excise,

Subject: The retail vend of liquor by retail vendors under the Andhra Pradesh Excise Act, 1968, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Andhra Pradesh Excise Act, 1968 (Andhra Pradesh Act 17 of 1968), the Consumer Affairs Department, Government of Andhra Pradesh hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the retail vend of liquor by retail vendors.

2. The matter has been examined. Every retail vendor carrying on the retail vend of liquor shall make an application in Form A to the Deputy Commissioner of Excise within thirty days, accompanied by a fee of ten thousand rupees.

3. The Sub-Inspector of Excise shall ensure that label is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Deputy Commissioner of Excise within thirty days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Consumer Affairs Department, Government of Andhra Pradesh.
