OFFICE MEMORANDUM

Subject: Fishing in a reservoir by licensees of a fishery in a reservoir under the Rajasthan Irrigation and Drainage Act, 1954, regarding.

1. The undersigned is directed to say that references have been received in the Housing Department, Government of Rajasthan on the manner in which fishing in a reservoir by licensees of a fishery in a reservoir is to be regulated under the Rajasthan Irrigation and Drainage Act, 1954.

2. The matter has been examined. Every licensee of a fishery in a reservoir carrying on fishing in a reservoir shall make an application in Form D to the Dam Safety Authority within twenty-one days, accompanied by a fee of two hundred and fifty rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which fishing in a reservoir is undertaken, and the Dam Safety Authority shall dispose of it within twenty-one days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this office memorandum may be brought to the notice of the Housing Department, Government of Rajasthan.
