OFFICE MEMORANDUM

Subject: The operation of a lift irrigation scheme by owners of a lift irrigation scheme under the Delhi Jal Board Act, 1998, regarding.

1. The undersigned is directed to say that references have been received in the Commercial Taxes Department, Government of the National Capital Territory of Delhi on the manner in which the operation of a lift irrigation scheme by owners of a lift irrigation scheme is to be regulated under the Delhi Jal Board Act, 1998.

2. The matter has been examined. Every owner of a lift irrigation scheme carrying on the operation of a lift irrigation scheme shall make an application in Form A to the River Basin Authority within twenty-one days, accompanied by a fee of two thousand rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the operation of a lift irrigation scheme is undertaken, and the River Basin Authority shall dispose of it within twenty-one days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this office memorandum may be brought to the notice of the Commercial Taxes Department, Government of the National Capital Territory of Delhi.
