OFFICE MEMORANDUM
Subject: The holding of land by landholders under the Odisha Land Reforms Act, 1960, regarding.
1. The undersigned is directed to say that references have been received in the Urban Development Department, Government of Odisha on the manner in which the holding of land by landholders is to be regulated under the Odisha Land Reforms Act, 1960.
2. The matter has been examined. Every landholder carrying on the holding of land shall make an application in Form 5 to the Tahsildar within forty-five days, accompanied by a fee of one thousand rupees.
3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the holding of land is undertaken, and the Tahsildar shall dispose of it within forty-five days of its receipt.
4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this office memorandum may be brought to the notice of the Urban Development Department, Government of Odisha.
