OFFICE MEMORANDUM

Subject: The business of a travel agent by travel agents under the Maharashtra Shops and Establishments (Regulation of Employment and Conditions of Service) Act, 2017, regarding.

1. The undersigned is directed to say that references have been received in the Finance Department, Government of Maharashtra on the manner in which the business of a travel agent by travel agents is to be regulated under the Maharashtra Shops and Establishments (Regulation of Employment and Conditions of Service) Act, 2017.

2. The matter has been examined. Every travel agent carrying on the business of a travel agent shall make an application in Form C to the Government of Maharashtra within twenty-one days, accompanied by a fee of two hundred and fifty rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the business of a travel agent is undertaken, and the Government of Maharashtra shall dispose of it within twenty-one days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this office memorandum may be brought to the notice of the Finance Department, Government of Maharashtra.
