STANDING ORDER

To

All Collectors,

Subject: The enjoyment of an easement by owners of an easement under the Karnataka Land Reforms Act, 1962, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Karnataka Land Reforms Act, 1962 (Karnataka Act 10 of 1962), the Revenue Department, Government of Karnataka hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the enjoyment of an easement by owners of an easement.

2. The matter has been examined. Every owner of an easement carrying on the enjoyment of an easement shall make an application in Form 8 to the Competent Authority within forty-five days, accompanied by a fee of five hundred rupees.

3. The Collector shall ensure that title deed is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Competent Authority within forty-five days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Revenue Department, Government of Karnataka.
