OFFICE MEMORANDUM

Subject: The imparting of education through open learning by operators of an open school under the Gujarat Private Universities Act, 2009, regarding.

1. The undersigned is directed to say that references have been received in the Labour Department, Government of Gujarat on the manner in which the imparting of education through open learning by operators of an open school is to be regulated under the Gujarat Private Universities Act, 2009.

2. The matter has been examined. Every operator of an open school carrying on the imparting of education through open learning shall make an application in Form E to the Board of Secondary Education within twenty-one days, accompanied by a fee of twenty-five thousand rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the imparting of education through open learning is undertaken, and the Board of Secondary Education shall dispose of it within twenty-one days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this office memorandum may be brought to the notice of the Labour Department, Government of Gujarat.
