OFFICE MEMORANDUM

Subject: The running of a working women's hostel by working women's hostels under the Maharashtra State Commission for Women Act, 1993, regarding.

1. The undersigned is directed to say that references have been received in the Women and Child Development Department, Government of Maharashtra on the manner in which the running of a working women's hostel by working women's hostels is to be regulated under the Maharashtra State Commission for Women Act, 1993.

2. The matter has been examined. Every working women's hostel carrying on the running of a working women's hostel shall make an application in Form VIII to the State Commission for Women within twenty-one days, accompanied by a fee of five hundred rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the running of a working women's hostel is undertaken, and the State Commission for Women shall dispose of it within twenty-one days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this office memorandum may be brought to the notice of the Women and Child Development Department, Government of Maharashtra.
