STANDING ORDER

To

All Patwaris,

Subject: The taking of a mortgage of agricultural land by mortgagees of agricultural land under the Delhi Land Reforms Act, 1954, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Delhi Land Reforms Act, 1954 (Delhi Act 8 of 1954), the Information Technology Department, Government of the National Capital Territory of Delhi hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the taking of a mortgage of agricultural land by mortgagees of agricultural land.

2. The matter has been examined. Every mortgagee of agricultural land carrying on the taking of a mortgage of agricultural land shall make an application in Form 2 to the Board of Revenue within seven days, accompanied by a fee of one thousand rupees.

3. The Patwari shall ensure that holding is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Board of Revenue within seven days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Information Technology Department, Government of the National Capital Territory of Delhi.
