STANDING ORDER

To

All District Collectors,

Subject: The preparedness of a hospital for emergencies by operators of a hospital under the Uttar Pradesh Fire Prevention and Fire Safety Act, 2005, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Uttar Pradesh Fire Prevention and Fire Safety Act, 2005 (Uttar Pradesh Act 9 of 2005), the General Administration Department, Government of Uttar Pradesh hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the preparedness of a hospital for emergencies by operators of a hospital.

2. The matter has been examined. Every operator of a hospital carrying on the preparedness of a hospital for emergencies shall make an application in Form C to the Civil Defence Controller within sixty days, accompanied by a fee of one hundred rupees.

3. The District Collector shall ensure that warning is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Civil Defence Controller within sixty days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the General Administration Department, Government of Uttar Pradesh.
