OFFICE MEMORANDUM

Subject: The operation of a ferry by operators of a ferry under the Karnataka Ground Water (Regulation and Control of Development and Management) Act, 2011, regarding.

1. The undersigned is directed to say that references have been received in the Water Resources Department, Government of Karnataka on the manner in which the operation of a ferry by operators of a ferry is to be regulated under the Karnataka Ground Water (Regulation and Control of Development and Management) Act, 2011.

2. The matter has been examined. Every operator of a ferry carrying on the operation of a ferry shall make an application in Form F to the Tribunal within twenty-one days, accompanied by a fee of two hundred and fifty rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the operation of a ferry is undertaken, and the Tribunal shall dispose of it within twenty-one days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this office memorandum may be brought to the notice of the Water Resources Department, Government of Karnataka.
