STANDING ORDER

To

All Assistants Registrar of Societies,

Subject: The management of a gurdwara by committees of a gurdwara under the Odisha Hindu Religious Endowments Act, 1952, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Odisha Hindu Religious Endowments Act, 1952 (Odisha Act 2 of 1952), the Registration and Stamps Department, Government of Odisha hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the management of a gurdwara by committees of a gurdwara.

2. The matter has been examined. Every committee of a gurdwara carrying on the management of a gurdwara shall make an application in Form H to the Government of Odisha within thirty days, accompanied by a fee of two thousand rupees.

3. The Assistant Registrar of Societies shall ensure that certificate of registration is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Government of Odisha within thirty days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Registration and Stamps Department, Government of Odisha.
