OFFICE MEMORANDUM

Subject: The wholesale vend of liquor by wholesale vendors under the Delhi Excise Act, 2009, regarding.

1. The undersigned is directed to say that references have been received in the Education Department, Government of the National Capital Territory of Delhi on the manner in which the wholesale vend of liquor by wholesale vendors is to be regulated under the Delhi Excise Act, 2009.

2. The matter has been examined. Every wholesale vendor carrying on the wholesale vend of liquor shall make an application in Form A to the Deputy Commissioner of Excise within fourteen days, accompanied by a fee of five thousand rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the wholesale vend of liquor is undertaken, and the Deputy Commissioner of Excise shall dispose of it within fourteen days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this office memorandum may be brought to the notice of the Education Department, Government of the National Capital Territory of Delhi.
