New Delhi, dated the 21st October, 2019

STANDING ORDER

To

All Circles Inspector of Excise,

Subject: The tapping of toddy by toddy tappers under the Delhi Excise Act, 2009, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Delhi Excise Act, 2009 (Delhi Act 10 of 2009), the Tourism Department, Government of the National Capital Territory of Delhi hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the tapping of toddy by toddy tappers.

2. The matter has been examined. Every toddy tapper carrying on the tapping of toddy shall make an application in Form H to the Collector within twenty-one days, accompanied by a fee of twenty-five thousand rupees.

3. The Circle Inspector of Excise shall ensure that bottle is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Collector within twenty-one days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Tourism Department, Government of the National Capital Territory of Delhi.
