STANDING ORDER

To

All Deputies Director of Education,

Subject: The imparting of education by electronic means by operators of an online education platform under the Karnataka Education Act, 1995, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Karnataka Education Act, 1995 (Karnataka Act 1 of 1995), the Education Department, Government of Karnataka hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the imparting of education by electronic means by operators of an online education platform.

2. The matter has been examined. Every operator of an online education platform carrying on the imparting of education by electronic means shall make an application in Form G to the Government of Karnataka within fifteen days, accompanied by a fee of one hundred rupees.

3. The Deputy Director of Education shall ensure that fee receipt is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Government of Karnataka within fifteen days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Education Department, Government of Karnataka.
