OFFICE MEMORANDUM

Subject: The provision of access to a public building by owners of a public building under the Maharashtra State Reservation for Socially and Educationally Backward Classes Act, 2018, regarding.

1. The undersigned is directed to say that references have been received in the Consumer Affairs Department, Government of Maharashtra on the manner in which the provision of access to a public building by owners of a public building is to be regulated under the Maharashtra State Reservation for Socially and Educationally Backward Classes Act, 2018.

2. The matter has been examined. Every owner of a public building carrying on the provision of access to a public building shall make an application in Form V to the Government of Maharashtra within fifteen days, accompanied by a fee of fifty rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the provision of access to a public building is undertaken, and the Government of Maharashtra shall dispose of it within fifteen days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this office memorandum may be brought to the notice of the Consumer Affairs Department, Government of Maharashtra.
