STANDING ORDER

To

All Court Officers,

Subject: The practice of law by legal practitioners under the Uttar Pradesh Civil Laws (Reforms and Amendment) Act, 1954, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Uttar Pradesh Civil Laws (Reforms and Amendment) Act, 1954 (Uttar Pradesh Act 24 of 1954), the Labour Department, Government of Uttar Pradesh hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the practice of law by legal practitioners.

2. The matter has been examined. Every legal practitioner carrying on the practice of law shall make an application in Form H to the District Judge within ninety days, accompanied by a fee of two thousand rupees.

3. The Court Officer shall ensure that court fee stamp is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the District Judge within ninety days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Labour Department, Government of Uttar Pradesh.
