OFFICE MEMORANDUM

Subject: The cultivation of hemp under licence by cultivators of hemp under the Madhya Pradesh Excise Act, 1915, regarding.

1. The undersigned is directed to say that references have been received in the Labour Department, Government of Madhya Pradesh on the manner in which the cultivation of hemp under licence by cultivators of hemp is to be regulated under the Madhya Pradesh Excise Act, 1915.

2. The matter has been examined. Every cultivator of hemp carrying on the cultivation of hemp under licence shall make an application in Form G to the Collector within fifteen days, accompanied by a fee of one lakh rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the cultivation of hemp under licence is undertaken, and the Collector shall dispose of it within fifteen days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this office memorandum may be brought to the notice of the Labour Department, Government of Madhya Pradesh.
