STANDING ORDER

To

All District Collectors,

Subject: The holding of a mass gathering by organisers of a mass gathering under the Uttar Pradesh Fire Prevention and Fire Safety Act, 2005, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Uttar Pradesh Fire Prevention and Fire Safety Act, 2005 (Uttar Pradesh Act 9 of 2005), the Transport Department, Government of Uttar Pradesh hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the holding of a mass gathering by organisers of a mass gathering.

2. The matter has been examined. Every organiser of a mass gathering carrying on the holding of a mass gathering shall make an application in Form C to the State Authority within fifteen days, accompanied by a fee of five thousand rupees.

3. The District Collector shall ensure that plan is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the State Authority within fifteen days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Transport Department, Government of Uttar Pradesh.
