OFFICE MEMORANDUM

Subject: The operation of a lift irrigation scheme by owners of a lift irrigation scheme under the Rajasthan Irrigation and Drainage Act, 1954, regarding.

1. The undersigned is directed to say that references have been received in the Water Resources Department, Government of Rajasthan on the manner in which the operation of a lift irrigation scheme by owners of a lift irrigation scheme is to be regulated under the Rajasthan Irrigation and Drainage Act, 1954.

2. The matter has been examined. Every owner of a lift irrigation scheme carrying on the operation of a lift irrigation scheme shall make an application in Form D to the Board within ninety days, accompanied by a fee of one thousand rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the operation of a lift irrigation scheme is undertaken, and the Board shall dispose of it within ninety days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this office memorandum may be brought to the notice of the Water Resources Department, Government of Rajasthan.
