OFFICE MEMORANDUM

Subject: The maintenance of a housing complex by facility management agencies under the Maharashtra Slum Areas (Improvement, Clearance and Redevelopment) Act, 1971, regarding.

1. The undersigned is directed to say that references have been received in the Transport Department, Government of Maharashtra on the manner in which the maintenance of a housing complex by facility management agencies is to be regulated under the Maharashtra Slum Areas (Improvement, Clearance and Redevelopment) Act, 1971.

2. The matter has been examined. Every facility management agency carrying on the maintenance of a housing complex shall make an application in Form H to the Rent Authority within sixty days, accompanied by a fee of twenty-five thousand rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the maintenance of a housing complex is undertaken, and the Rent Authority shall dispose of it within sixty days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this office memorandum may be brought to the notice of the Transport Department, Government of Maharashtra.
