OFFICE MEMORANDUM

Subject: The transmission of programmes by cable by cable operators under the Andhra Pradesh Cinemas (Regulation) Act, 1955, regarding.

1. The undersigned is directed to say that references have been received in the Tourism Department, Government of Andhra Pradesh on the manner in which the transmission of programmes by cable by cable operators is to be regulated under the Andhra Pradesh Cinemas (Regulation) Act, 1955.

2. The matter has been examined. Every cable operator carrying on the transmission of programmes by cable shall make an application in Form III to the Advisory Panel within sixty days, accompanied by a fee of fifty thousand rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the transmission of programmes by cable is undertaken, and the Advisory Panel shall dispose of it within sixty days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this office memorandum may be brought to the notice of the Tourism Department, Government of Andhra Pradesh.
