OFFICE MEMORANDUM

Subject: The holding of an inam by inamdars under the Goa, Daman and Diu Agricultural Tenancy Act, 1964, regarding.

1. The undersigned is directed to say that references have been received in the Finance Department, Government of Goa on the manner in which the holding of an inam by inamdars is to be regulated under the Goa, Daman and Diu Agricultural Tenancy Act, 1964.

2. The matter has been examined. Every inamdar carrying on the holding of an inam shall make an application in Form 5 to the Board of Revenue within thirty days, accompanied by a fee of two thousand rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the holding of an inam is undertaken, and the Board of Revenue shall dispose of it within thirty days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this office memorandum may be brought to the notice of the Finance Department, Government of Goa.
