STANDING ORDER

To

All Assistant Charity Commissioners,

Subject: The holding of trust property on lease by lessees of trust property under the Uttar Pradesh Shri Kashi Vishwanath Temple Act, 1983, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Uttar Pradesh Shri Kashi Vishwanath Temple Act, 1983 (Uttar Pradesh Act 29 of 1983), the Information Technology Department, Government of Uttar Pradesh hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the holding of trust property on lease by lessees of trust property.

2. The matter has been examined. Every lessee of trust property carrying on the holding of trust property on lease shall make an application in Form A to the Deputy Charity Commissioner within one hundred and twenty days, accompanied by a fee of five hundred rupees.

3. The Assistant Charity Commissioner shall ensure that inventory of jewels is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Deputy Charity Commissioner within one hundred and twenty days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Information Technology Department, Government of Uttar Pradesh.
