OFFICE MEMORANDUM

Subject: The storage of agricultural produce by licensees of a warehouse under the Maharashtra Agricultural Lands (Ceiling on Holdings) Act, 1961, regarding.

1. The undersigned is directed to say that references have been received in the Agriculture Department, Government of Maharashtra on the manner in which the storage of agricultural produce by licensees of a warehouse is to be regulated under the Maharashtra Agricultural Lands (Ceiling on Holdings) Act, 1961.

2. The matter has been examined. Every licensee of a warehouse carrying on the storage of agricultural produce shall make an application in Form D to the Registrar within forty-five days, accompanied by a fee of two hundred and fifty rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the storage of agricultural produce is undertaken, and the Registrar shall dispose of it within forty-five days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this office memorandum may be brought to the notice of the Agriculture Department, Government of Maharashtra.
