STANDING ORDER
To
All Surveyors,
Subject: The holding of allotted surplus land by allottees of surplus land under the Punjab Security of Land Tenures Act, 1953, regarding.
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Punjab Security of Land Tenures Act, 1953 (Punjab Act 10 of 1953), the Health and Family Welfare Department, Government of Punjab hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:
1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the holding of allotted surplus land by allottees of surplus land.
2. The matter has been examined. Every allottee of surplus land carrying on the holding of allotted surplus land shall make an application in Form 3 to the Revenue Divisional Officer within ninety days, accompanied by a fee of ten rupees.
3. The Surveyor shall ensure that parcel of land is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Revenue Divisional Officer within ninety days.
4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Health and Family Welfare Department, Government of Punjab.
