STANDING ORDER

To

All Pay and Accounts Officers,

Subject: The execution of contracts by contractors under the Gujarat Infrastructure Development Act, 1999, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Gujarat Infrastructure Development Act, 1999 (Gujarat Act 11 of 1999), the Finance Department, Government of Gujarat hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the execution of contracts by contractors.

2. The matter has been examined. Every contractor carrying on the execution of contracts shall make an application in Form GFR 40 to the Public Accounts Committee within thirty days, accompanied by a fee of five thousand rupees.

3. The Pay and Accounts Officer shall ensure that bond is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Public Accounts Committee within thirty days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Finance Department, Government of Gujarat.
