STANDING ORDER

All Deputy Directors,

Subject: The organisation of sport by sports bodies under the Telangana Gaming Act, 1974, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Telangana Gaming Act, 1974 (Telangana Act 2 of 1974), the Excise Department, Government of Telangana hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the organisation of sport by sports bodies.

2. The matter has been examined. Every sports body carrying on the organisation of sport shall make an application in Form B to the Agency within twenty-one days, accompanied by a fee of two hundred and fifty rupees.

3. The Deputy Director shall ensure that certificate of recognition is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Agency within twenty-one days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Excise Department, Government of Telangana.
