STANDING ORDER

To

All Excise Inspectors,

Subject: The tapping of toddy by toddy tappers under the Delhi Excise Act, 2009, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Delhi Excise Act, 2009 (Delhi Act 10 of 2009), the Law Department, Government of the National Capital Territory of Delhi hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the tapping of toddy by toddy tappers.

2. The matter has been examined. Every toddy tapper carrying on the tapping of toddy shall make an application in Form C to the Excise Appellate Authority within fourteen days, accompanied by a fee of fifty thousand rupees.

3. The Excise Inspector shall ensure that licence is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Excise Appellate Authority within fourteen days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Law Department, Government of the National Capital Territory of Delhi.
