OFFICE MEMORANDUM

Subject: The keeping of a registered office by registered office keepers under the Kerala Chitties Act, 1975, regarding.

1. The undersigned is directed to say that references have been received in the Consumer Affairs Department, Government of Kerala on the manner in which the keeping of a registered office by registered office keepers is to be regulated under the Kerala Chitties Act, 1975.

2. The matter has been examined. Every registered office keeper carrying on the keeping of a registered office shall make an application in Form INC-1 to the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Board within seven days, accompanied by a fee of twenty-five thousand rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the keeping of a registered office is undertaken, and the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Board shall dispose of it within seven days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this office memorandum may be brought to the notice of the Consumer Affairs Department, Government of Kerala.
