STANDING ORDER

To

All Naib Tahsildars,

Subject: The removal of earth from Government land by persons removing earth from Government land under the Gujarat Agricultural Lands Ceiling Act, 1961, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Gujarat Agricultural Lands Ceiling Act, 1961 (Gujarat Act 27 of 1961), the Mines and Geology Department, Government of Gujarat hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the removal of earth from Government land by persons removing earth from Government land.

2. The matter has been examined. Every person removing earth from Government land carrying on the removal of earth from Government land shall make an application in Form 1 to the Collector within one hundred and twenty days, accompanied by a fee of ten rupees.

3. The Naib Tahsildar shall ensure that map is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Collector within one hundred and twenty days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Mines and Geology Department, Government of Gujarat.
