STANDING ORDER

To

All Case Workers,

Subject: The employment of women by employers of women under the Tamil Nadu Prohibition of Harassment of Woman Act, 2002, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Tamil Nadu Prohibition of Harassment of Woman Act, 2002 (Tamil Nadu Act 44 of 2002), the Women and Child Development Department, Government of Tamil Nadu hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the employment of women by employers of women.

2. The matter has been examined. Every employer of women carrying on the employment of women shall make an application in Form I to the Juvenile Justice Board within forty-five days, accompanied by a fee of fifty rupees.

3. The Case Worker shall ensure that home study report is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Juvenile Justice Board within forty-five days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Women and Child Development Department, Government of Tamil Nadu.
